It started with family games

Hi, I'm Joni. The idea for The Score Tracker goes back to my early teens. My family played board and card games, and it annoyed me that those games never left any history behind. "I think I had a score of over 800 once" was just a myth that nobody could verify.

I tried to build something even then, but my skills weren't up to it yet.

One summer holiday

Things are different today. I was interested in computers long before my career started, and alongside my hobby projects I've now worked in web development for eight years. One summer holiday from my main job, I took the project by the horns and built the website.

That became The Score Tracker. It now has ready-made score sheets for more than 400 games, and the scores stay saved, so records can finally be checked.

My day job

In my day job I'm an engineering manager at a large company whose parent company has a global reach. I look after a platform used by around 40,000 sellers a year, and we also look after webshop platforms with millions of visits a year. My team is currently six people.

At Orrensalo Digital I do everything myself: I design the services, write the code and keep them running. I bring the same care to websites for clients. When you get in touch, I'm the one who answers.

At the game table

My favourite game is the World of Warcraft board game, when I have the time for it. But I enjoy a wide variety of board games, from Catan and Carcassonne to Battlestar Galactica. If we meet and time allows, I'm always up for a game.
